Our engineering services client is currently seeking Lead Process Engineer This role supports projects based out of our client’s customer’s manufacturing facility office. This resource will be required to be onsite one to two days per week. Our client is also willing to consider candidates from outside of the immediate area of the customer site and will cover accommodations for required onsite days.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering , or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of process engineering experience in manufacturing environments
  • Experience leading engineering teams and external partners
  • Strong background in:
    • P&IDs and process documentation
    • Installation, bid, and construction packages
    • Process and utility piping design
    • Papermaking technology (towel and tissue)
    • Cost estimating and commissioning support

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years of relevant experience
  • PE license or ability to obtain within 24 months
  • Experience with advanced papermaking systems , 3D design tools, HVAC, TAD, PHAs, Yankee dryers, dust control, and material handling

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead process and mechanical engineering design for industrial projects
  • Ensure engineering quality, accuracy, and compliance
  • Perform QA/QC reviews of calculations, drawings, and specifications
  • Develop equipment specs, bid documents, and construction packages
  • Support proposals and business development, including scope and cost estimates
  • Coordinate with clients, vendors, contractors, OEMs, and internal teams
  • Conduct onsite field investigations to support design efforts
  • Review vendor submittals and lead design reviews
  • Support construction, startup, and commissioning
  • Travel as needed (up to 25%)
