The Lead Process Technician performs process sustaining tasks for the manufacturing line on a variety of mechanical and electrical processes. Perform supporting activities for Engineering including troubleshooting, training, and using lean manufacturing methodologies to identify areas of opportunity and implement and sustain solutions relating to scrap reduction and yield improvement. The Lead Technician is a POC on the engineering team and responsible for fostering a collaborative workplace with cross-functional teams.
Responsible for timely and professional communication between Process, Engineering, Maintenance, Production, and Quality regarding current line limiters, troubleshooting and resource allocation
Perform and support in development of process sustaining tasks for the manufacturing line on a variety of automated processes to ensure process variation stays within defined control limits
Disposition of non-conforming materials that come from the manufacturing line, response to out-of-control process, work on yield improvement projects, and qualify new equipment and processes that are being introduced into the manufacturing line
Manage workload with a positive attitude as a team player in a collaborative work environment; influence, coordinate and lead other technicians and allocate their support to meet production needs
Write work instructions, setup workstations, maintain tools and spares, while keeping safety, ergonomics, quality, Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles
Develop, update, and send out daily pass downs to cross functional teams
Plan, execute and drive daily operations for areas of responsibility to meet daily targets and expectations in the following metrics: safety, quality of production runs, productivity / efficiency, team development and 5S
Ability to handle multiple priorities with minimal direction contributing to a positive, team-oriented work environment, and demonstrate ability to learn new concepts quickly; comfortable in ambiguity
Ability to adhere to defined procedures in order to make calculated adjustments to modify process parameters on complex automated machines on the manufacturing line
Strong analytical skills with experience querying and analyzing data sets in order to drive RCA of yield loss and scrap excursions using SQL and Data Analysis software
Ability to develop processes and create of manufacturing instructions in accordance with lean six sigma methodologies
Ability to utilize measurement tools to analyze mechanical and electrical fundamentals of the production process and product
