Description
Lead Product Manager
New York City — In Office (5 days/week)
About Our Client
Our client is a profitable, bootstrapped company building AI-powered tools that support investment research workflows for top-tier deal teams, including major private equity firms, professional services firms, and consulting practices. The company has a growing team and has seen strong year-over-year revenue growth, with continued rapid growth trajectory expected. They are expanding into new verticals including investment banking, hedge funds, and research firms.
Role Description
Our client is hiring a Lead Product Manager to own the core research workflow and help build a product team focused on developing new 0-1 add-on products. This is a high-ownership individual contributor role responsible for the day-to-day product execution loop — aligning with Customer Success, users, engineering, and design on specs and tradeoffs, driving QA, and shipping frequently. There is a clear path to grow into a leadership role as the company scales.
What You'll Do
Own the roadmap and execution for the core research workflow
Work closely with Customer Success and users to understand workflows, pain points, and what "great" looks like
Partner with Engineering and Design to prioritize, scope, and ship quickly
Drive QA and release readiness: testing plans, bug triage, launch checklists, and iteration plans
Keep stakeholders aligned (founders, engineering, design, CS) through lightweight, high-signal communication
Join sales and CS calls to demo the product and new features, explain capabilities clearly, and translate customer needs into product priorities
What Success Looks Like
Increased shipping velocity, with a goal of one major new feature per week
Interview guide generation: defining structure and workflow for how teams create structured interview guides, building an AI-assisted creation experience, and driving rollout and adoption
Live transcription: validating demand for faster transcript access during calls, aligning on feasibility, and piloting/rolling out the feature
Call anonymization: defining requirements for anonymizing transcripts, partnering with design/engineering on an intuitive workflow, and driving adoption
About You
5+ years of experience shipping SaaS products in fast-moving teams (B2B a plus, strong B2C also welcomed)
Strong product execution skills — able to make good tradeoffs, unblock teams, and focus on MVP shipping
Experience owning a 01 build end-to-end, from problem discovery and MVP scope through launch, iteration, and impact
Comfortable working directly with customers and senior stakeholders, including a sales-adjacent component to the role
A builder mentality, comfortable using AI coding tools to make tweaks directly
Preference for low ceremony / high accountability, avoiding process for its own sake
Excellent written and verbal communication
NYC-based and willing to work five days per week in-office
Bonus: experience at a large consulting firm
Compensation & Benefits
Estimated base salary $190K–$230K, plus equity
Competitive benefits package including private healthcare
