Summary
We are seeking a Lead Product Manager to define and lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of the Farmer Insights Platform, a portfolio of products and capabilities designed to help farmers make better decisions through trusted, data-driven insights.
This role is part of a newly formed team focused on building the future of decision intelligence in agriculture. The team operates with a startup mindset while leveraging John Deeres scale, distribution, and technology ecosystem.
The platform combines the creation of a discovery platform that will help farmers optimize their operations, from planning through execution, combined with data-driven capabilities embedded within John Deeres Operations Center. Together. These capabilities create a closed-loop intelligence system that generates insights, measures outcomes, quantifies economic value, and continuously improves over time.
This role sits at the intersection of product management, customer discovery, artificial intelligence, agronomy, data science, and software development. Success requires balancing innovation with trust, speed with rigor, and experimentation with scalable execution.

Your Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
Define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Farmer Insights Platform
Establish a long-term product strategy that transforms agricultural data into trusted, evidence-based recommendations
Identify opportunities to create customer value through data, analytics, machine learning, and AI-driven insights
Drive product decisions that scale across multiple crops, geographies, farming practices, and customer segments
Product Development & Execution
Lead the development and growth of the insights platform from concept through launch and ongoing iteration
Define how insights are generated, prioritized, presented, measured, and improved over time
Partner closely with Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, Design, and Agronomy teams to deliver high-impact customer experiences
Translate ambiguous customer problems into clear product requirements and execution plans
Balance short-term delivery objectives with long-term platform investments
Customer Discovery & Validation
Engage directly with farmers, dealers, agronomists, and industry stakeholders to understand customer needs, workflows, and challenges
Lead customer discovery efforts to validate product opportunities and assumptions
Develop a deep understanding of customer decision-making processes and economic outcomes
Use customer insights and product analytics to continuously improve product direction and prioritization
Platform & Ecosystem Leadership
Define how successful product innovations transition from experimentation into scalable platform capabilities
Partner with Operations Center teams to integrate validated insights into existing customer workflows
Drive alignment across multiple teams and stakeholders to ensure successful adoption and scaling
Establish frameworks for measuring customer impact, product adoption, and business value
Cross-Functional Leadership
Influence and align stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Agronomy, Design, and Business leadership
Facilitate strategic discussions and trade-off decisions across competing priorities
Communicate product vision, roadmap, risks, and outcomes clearly to executive leadership and cross-functional teams
Foster a culture of experimentation, learning, and customer-centric decision-making
