About the Team
The User Growth (UG) team is responsible for the growth of our international products, including TikTok. We help develop customized growth strategies for the products and utilize various marketing, product, and data analysis techniques to achieve business growth goals. You will lead the product strategy and execution for TikTok's Desktop/PC Web experience with a user-centric and "large-screen" mindset. You will own the full product lifecycle for the PC platform, transforming it from a companion interface into a primary destination for content consumption and creation. You will bridge the gap between Mobile and Desktop, delivering a seamless ecosystem that maximizes user engagement, retention, and creator productivity on the Web.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Roadmap: Own the product roadmap for TikTok on Desktop/PC. Define unique value propositions for the web platform (e.g., multitasking, high-fidelity viewing, professional creator tools) distinct from the mobile app experience.
User Experience (UX) Innovation: Design and iterate on "lean-back" consumption experiences and "lean-in" interaction models specific to mouse-and-keyboard environments. Optimize interface layouts, navigation, and shortcuts for large screens to improve session duration and retention.
Cross-Device Ecosystem: Partner with Mobile and Platform teams to build seamless handoff experiences between App and Web (e.g., QR login, cross-device history, continuity features). Build strategies to convert web traffic into app users and vice versa.
Creator Empowerment: Lead the development of advanced web-based uploading, editing, and analytics tools. Enable professional creators and businesses to manage content and engage with communities more efficiently on a desktop environment.
Technical & Performance Optimization: Collaborate with Engineering to drive technical excellence, including Progressive Web App (PWA) capabilities, loading speed optimization, and browser compatibility. Ensure the web platform meets high standards of performance and accessibility.
Global Localization: Adapt the PC Web experience for diverse global markets, addressing regional browsing habits, network conditions, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) while maintaining a unified global product architecture.
Minimum Qualification(s)
Experience: 3+ years of product management experience in consumer internet (ToC) or digital media, with a strong focus on Web/PC products.
Product Sense: Deep understanding of web technologies and desktop interaction design patterns. Ability to distinguish between mobile-first and web-native user behaviors and translate them into intuitive product solutions.
Analytical & Strategic: Strong data-driven mindset. Proven ability to define KPI frameworks (e.g., DAU, Retention, Time Spent) and use A/B testing to validate hypotheses and drive measurable growth.
Preferred Qualification(s)
Execution & Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects from concept to launch, mobilizing cross-functional teams (Design, Engineering, Data, Operations) in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in working with cross functional partners across different time zones, cultures and languages.
Experience in video streaming platforms, social media, or creator tools is highly preferred.
