Job Title: Lead Product Owner - Utilization Management (UM) Location: Baltimore, MD (Hybrid) Job Type: Contract Summary: We are seeking an experienced UM Product Owner Lead with strong expertise in Healthcare, Prior Authorization (PA), Utilization Management (UM), and Agile product delivery. This role will lead complex cross-functional initiatives, drive product strategy, manage healthcare integrations, and improve operational efficiency across clinical, technical, and business teams. Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end delivery of UM/PA programs and product initiatives. Manage product roadmap, backlog prioritization, and Agile ceremonies. Collaborate with stakeholders, clinical leaders, and scrum teams to optimize workflows and compliance. Translate business strategy into actionable workstreams and scalable solutions. Monitor KPIs including TAT, auto-decision rates, denials, and provider experience. Support healthcare integrations, automation initiatives, and EHR interoperability. Required Qualifications: 15+ years of experience in healthcare delivery, payer operations, UM, or PA programs. 8+ years of Product Owner/Product Management or related experience. Proven experience leading large, multi-workstream enterprise initiatives. Strong understanding of PA workflows, UM criteria, and healthcare regulatory requirements. Experience with PA technology, automation, and EHR/interoperability standards. Expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies, product roadmap, and backlog management. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive reporting skills. CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner) certification preferred.
