About the Opportunity
Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring a Lead Production Operator for a manufacturing and track and trace solutions company in Roseville, MN. In this role, you’ll provide hands-on leadership on the production floor, support daily operations, and help ensure quality, safety, and efficiency across the finishing department. If you enjoy leading a team, troubleshooting equipment, and working in a fast paced manufacturing environment, this could be a great next step in your career.
What You’ll Do as a Lead Production Operator:- Lead and support production team members, serving as the first point of contact for daily questions and issues
- Coordinate and delegate work assignments based on priorities, workload, and employee skill level
- Operate and monitor production equipment to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety standards are met
- Train new employees and coach team members to improve performance and skills
- Troubleshoot minor equipment or process issues and coordinate with maintenance as needed
- Track production data including downtime, scrap, and inventory accuracy
- Communicate goals, delays, and issues with supervisors and support departments
What You Need to Bring to the Lead Production Operator Role:- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Previous team lead or leadership experience preferred
- Strong understanding of production workflows, equipment, and quality standards
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, SOPs, and basic technical drawings
- Basic computer skills (production systems, email, Excel or similar)
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to make quick decisions
- Reliable attendance and ability to work in a fast paced, hands on environment
