Lead Python Developer

IDR is seeking a Lead Python Developer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Irving, Texas. This role involves leading the development and implementation of enterprise-grade Generative AI solutions that enhance software development, data engineering, and business innovation within a dynamic industry setting. The position offers an exciting opportunity to innovate with cutting-edge AI technologies while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful results.

Position Overview for the Lead Python Developer:

• Drive the design, development, and adoption of scalable AI solutions that accelerate software development and data engineering processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate Generative AI capabilities into enterprise platforms.
• Lead and mentor development teams to build robust Python applications in cloud environments, primarily AWS.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies to continuously improve solutions and maintain a competitive edge.
• Focus on delivering secure, high-impact tools that enhance productivity and business outcomes.

Requirements for the Lead Python Developer:

• 6+ years of Python software development experience for enterprise organizations
• Experience applying Generative AI capabilities, including prompt design, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, embeddings & vector stores, and AI agents
• Data-centric engineering experience building services and tools within a data engineering organization
• A “data-first” Python developer who understands the challenges of enterprise data systems
• Proven experience building and scaling software solutions in cloud environments (AWS preferred)
