Brock & Scott, PLLC, is seeking an experienced Lead QA Engineer to serve as the primary quality assurance resource within our IT team. This is a foundational role responsible for establishing and scaling QA practices across the organization. The Lead QA Engineer will independently own the full software testing lifecycle while helping define automation standards, testing processes, and quality strategies that support the firm’s growing technology platform. This position is ideal for a hands-on QA professional who thrives in a highly autonomous environment, enjoys building structure where none exists, and wants to have a direct impact on software quality and delivery. Key Responsibilities: Test Planning & Execution - Design and execute comprehensive test plans, scenarios, and scripts based on requirements and acceptance criteria
- Perform manual and automated testing, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
- Own regression testing strategy and ensure test coverage evolves with system changes
Automation & Strategy - Build, maintain, and expand automated test scripts and frameworks
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and increase
- Contribute to the firm’s long-term QA automation strategy and standards
- Defect Management & Quality Analysis
- Create clear, actionable defect reports with severity and business impact analysis
- Manage the full defect lifecycle, including triage, escalation, and validation
- Analyze test results to identify systemic quality issues and improvement opportunities
Collaboration & Communication - Partner closely with developers and Business Analysts to validate solutions and ensure alignment with business requirements
- Communicate testing status, defects, and release readiness to stakeholders and IT leadership
Process Development & Governance - Establish and maintain QA documentation, standards, and processes
- Ensure QA practices align with IT governance, change management, and audit requirements
- Build scalable QA practices to support future growth of the team
