  • Conduct in-process inspections during manufacturing to monitor product quality and identify issues early in the production cycle.
  • Carry out final inspections of completed products to ensure they meet all dimensional, functional, and documentation requirements before release.
  • Interpret and apply engineering drawings, blueprints, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to evaluate part conformity.
  • Use calipers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other dimensional metrology tools to perform precise measurements and inspections.
  • Support supplier quality activities, including First Article Inspections (FAIs) and supplier qualification inspections, to ensure incoming materials and components meet specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to address quality issues, clarify requirements, and improve product and process performance.
  • Participate in root cause investigations for nonconformances and quality issues, and contribute to the development and implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain detailed inspection documentation, including inspection reports, nonconformance records, and traceability data in accordance with quality management system requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable quality standards, and support internal and external audits as needed.
  • Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC), sampling plans, and process capability analysis to monitor and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Utilize SAP or other ERP systems to record inspection results, track nonconformances, and manage quality documentation.
  • Support new product introduction activities by providing inspection input, validating manufacturing processes, and confirming that new components and assemblies meet design requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying quality trends, recommending process improvements, and helping to implement best practices in quality control and assurance.

  • Hands-on experience using calipers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other dimensional metrology tools for inspection.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and their application in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with quality documentation systems and maintaining inspection records and nonconformance documentation.
  • Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems for managing inspection data and quality documentation.
  • Understanding of dimensional metrology and inspection techniques, including conducting First Article Inspections (FAIs) and supporting supplier qualification activities.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), sampling plans, process capability, and quality analysis techniques.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to Somerset, NJ for 1-2 weeks for interviewing and potential training, as required.
