Project Overview:
Fab 62 is an advanced semiconductor fabrication facility for Intel Corporation, located at Intel''s Ocotillo campus in Chandler, Arizona. As part of this work, the M&T team is responsible for delivering the engineering, procurement, and construction scope required to complete and finish-out a leading-edge chipmaking facility - a highly demanding environment where precision, cleanliness, schedule certainty, and coordination across thousands of craft and professional personnel are essential to success. The project supports the continued expansion of domestic semiconductor manufacturing capacity, contributing to a more resilient technology supply chain while creating significant opportunity for the local Arizona workforce. Job Summary:
In this role on a major construction project you will lead and supervise the implementation and audit activities of the project quality program. You will review and identify applicable contract quality requirements, report new or revised regulatory requirements, monitor non-conforming conditions, and determine the sufficiency of identified and completed corrective actions. Your quality assurance leadership, actions and recommendations will support the resolution of quality issues and mitigate quality performance risks. #LI-SM2
Major Responsibilities:
- Coordinates targeted independent assessments to enable the timely mitigation of technical and project management risks
- Identifies and assesses risk by providing independent technical analysis, guidance, and recommendations to GBU/project leadership
- Applies knowledge of quality engineering methodologies for input to design reviews, analyses, quality program plans, and other documentation
- Evaluates the effectiveness of corrective actions and process improvement activities
- Provides oversight of design verification/validation, in-process inspection, and final inspection activities
- Defines and implements quality management system tools and procedures to support work processes
- Develops and maintains quality metrics/goals for the organization and provides performance feedback
- Experienced in the application of complex causal analysis tools, facilitates and leads causal analysis teams to assist in the resolution of issues
- Leads in monitoring the implementation of the project quality program/plan such as People Based Quality (PBQ), Lessons Learned, Close Loop Corrective Actions, Assessments and Continuous Improvement
- Prepares and completes quality audit checklists and participates in quality audits of corporate/project quality program/plans including, pre-award assessments of potential suppliers and subcontractors as a prospective lead auditor or a qualified lead auditor
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires bachelor''s degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Performs the role of Lead Quality Auditor for a project.Supervises and leads audit teams throughout the project life cycle.
- Reviews, reports, and assures compliance with project contract quality requirements, procedures, manuals, and design requirements.Prepare annual project Audit Schedule.
- Prepares and/or supervises development of Audit reports.
- Prepares and completes quality audit plans, checklists, and supervises and conducts quality audits of project quality programs, plans, and procedures including, as needed, pre-award assessments of potential suppliers and subcontractors, as a prospective lead auditor or a qualified lead auditor.Assesses and monitors all Functions on project, including project management, engineering, procurement, construction, project controls, commissioning, and startup.
- Reviews and monitors nonconforming conditions and associated corrective actions to ensure quality program compliance.
- Prepares and reviews quality procedures and plans for issuance in accordance with approved processes.
- Provides input into the development of standardized metrics and responds to engineering, construction, procurement, and others who request guidance on implementation of quality requirements.
- Represents the project during quality assurance audits conducted by the client, management, or regulatory agencies.
- Identifies quality problems, initiates documented action and verifies implementation of solutions.
- Prepare reports on the effectiveness of the quality program/plan implementation.
- Supervises and participates in the project auditing and monitoring program to verify the effectiveness of the project quality management system (QMS).
- Ensures Quality Audit Team members are adequately trained and certified.
- Reviews project schedules for quality related activities to ensure timely and effective implementation of the project quality plan requirements.
- Assigns work to and directs the activities of assigned quality personnel.
