They coach apprentices, maintain quality on every job, and help create a positive culture built on accountability, craftsmanship, and teamwork.What You'll DoLead residential HVAC replacement and retrofit installations from start to finishServe as the lead technician on installation projects, ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and correctlyTrain, mentor, and develop apprentice and junior installers through hands-on coachingDelegate tasks appropriately while maintaining quality and productivityInstall furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, mini-splits, and indoor air quality productsFabricate and modify ductwork systemsInstall refrigeration lines, gas piping, venting, condensate drains, and low-voltage controlsPerform equipment startups, commissioning, testing, and system verificationTroubleshoot installation challenges and make sound decisions in the fieldCommunicate professionally with homeowners, answering questions and providing an exceptional customer experienceEnsure all work meets manufacturer specifications, company standards, safety requirements, and local codeMaintain clean, organized job sites and company vehiclesProvide feedback to management on apprentice progress, training opportunities, and process improvementsWhat We're Looking For5+ years of residential HVAC installation experience (lead experience preferred)Proven experience leading installation crews or mentoring apprenticesStrong residential retrofit and replacement backgroundAbility to train others while maintaining productivity and qualityExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsStrong knowledge of:FurnacesHeat PumpsAir Conditioning SystemsAir HandlersDuctwork Fabrication & ModificationsRefrigeration PipingGas PipingLow-Voltage Controls & HVAC WiringAbility to perform equipment startups, commissioning, and final quality inspectionsStrong communication, leadership, and organizational skillsValid driver's license with a clean driving recordPride in craftsmanship and a commitment to helping others succeed
