We are seeking a Principal or Lead RF Engineer to take technical ownership of RF and mmW design across a portfolio of telecommunications and defence products. Based at a new, purpose-built facility in County Durham (RELOCATION PACKAGE AVAILABLE), you will lead design activity from concept through to production, working within a well-equipped environment supported by experienced engineers and in-house manufacturing capability. This role offers the opportunity to deliver technically challenging products across both niche and higher volume programmes.Key responsibilities Lead RF and mmW design across circuits, modules, and systems for telecommunications and defence applicationsTake ownership of specification, simulation, design, and verification activityPerform system line up and tolerance analysis, ensuring performance and manufacturabilitySupport component, IC, and MMIC selection, including supplier engagementWork closely with mechanical, electronics, PCB, manufacturing, and test teams to deliver robust designsLead design reviews, manage technical risks, and support verification and validation activitiesSupport fault finding and product improvement during introduction and productionProvide technical guidance to engineers and support best practice across the teamThe Person Degree or equivalent in RF, Microwave, Electronics, or Communications EngineeringStrong experience in RF and or mmW circuit or system designProficiency with RF design tools such as Microwave Office, ADS, CST, or EMProSolid understanding of microwave design, system analysis, and design for manufactureExperience working within telecommunications and or defence environmentsAbility to lead technical activity and communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teamsDesirable experience Experience across full RF signal chains or subsystem designBackground in high-reliability or regulated industriesExperience supporting design transfer into manufactureKnowledge of RF modules such as amplifiers, filters, or transceiversWhat this role offers Technical ownership within a well invested engineering environmentAccess to in house manufacturing capabilityExposure to a broad range of RF and mmW productsOpportunity to influence engineering standards and delivery approach#J-18808-Ljbffr
