Hearth & Home Technologies is looking for a Lead Sales Account Manager to join our Fireplaces Business Unit in Lakeville, MN. The Fireplaces Business Unit is one of our key business units within Hearth & Home Technologies, featuring leading brands such as Heat & Glo, Majestic, Heatilator, and more. This business unit is dedicated to advancing fireplace technology and design, reflecting our commitment to exceptional quality and comfort.
We are seeking a Lead Sales Account Manager to strategically lead a remote-focused team that collaborates with Sales Business Partners to deliver expert customer service, training, and sales growth to our smaller trade partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Coach, inspire, and oversee the Sales Account Managers (SAM) team to elevate performance, ensure outbound call frequencies are met, and build a culture of excellence.
- Strategic Growth: Collaborate with sales leadership to develop and execute high-level strategies that drive revenue growth, maximize trade partner exposure, and ensure target achievement.
- Performance Management: Monitor sales metrics, track opportunity progression, measure call activity, and complete monthly travel for in-person ride-along appraisals.
- Remote Sales Management: Guide the team on consultative selling, product training, pricing approvals, and remote delivery methods like webinars, phone, and email.
- Market Intelligence: Provide timely feedback and recommendations to management on market trends, competitor activities, and product enhancements.
- Account & Operational Support: Oversee marketing support programs (Co-Op, displays), resolve escalated trade partner service issues, and temporarily manage or assign open territories.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3 or more years of professional selling experience (or equivalent combination).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to persuade, motivate, influence, and negotiate.
- Proven ability to follow and demonstrate a formal sales process alongside a strong results orientation.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong prioritization, multi-tasking, and independent problem-solving skills under tight deadlines.
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to work effectively across cross-functional groups.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior people leadership experience with strong leadership skills and a proven track record of exceeding targets.
- Ability to work comfortably with all levels within an organization and remain positive and flexible through shifting priorities.
