Lead SAP Order-to-Cash (OTC) Functional Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Lead SAP Order-to-Cash (OTC) Functional Consultant to lead the design, implementation, and deployment of SAP S/4HANA OTC processes for a large-scale Greenfield transformation within the Chemicals manufacturing industry. This individual will serve as the functional lead for all OTC workstreams, partnering closely with business stakeholders, system integrators, and cross-functional SAP teams to define future-state business processes and ensure successful adoption of SAP best practices. The role requires strong onsite engagement with business users, deep expertise in SAP Sales and Distribution (SD), and extensive experience supporting complex order management, pricing, logistics, and customer fulfillment processes within process manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

SAP OTC Leadership

• Lead the SAP Order-to-Cash workstream throughout the S/4HANA Greenfield implementation lifecycle.
• Facilitate business process workshops and fit-to-standard sessions with Sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, and Finance stakeholders.
• Define future-state OTC business processes aligned with SAP S/4HANA best practices.
• Provide leadership and guidance to functional consultants, analysts, and business process owners.
• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the implementation partner.

Solution Design & Configuration

• Design and configure SAP S/4HANA OTC functionality including: Customer Master Data, Sales Order Processing, Pricing & Rebates, Contract Management, Available-to-Promise (ATP), Delivery Processing, Shipping & Transportation, Billing & Invoicing, Returns Management, Credit Management, Intercompany Sales, Third-Party Order Processing.
• Ensure solution design supports Chemicals industry requirements and regulatory compliance.

Chemicals Industry Process Expertise

• Support chemical manufacturing and distribution business processes including: Bulk and packaged product sales, Make-to-stock and make-to-order scenarios, Batch-managed inventory, Quality hold and release processes, Hazardous material considerations, Transportation and logistics integration, Customer-specific pricing agreements and contracts.
• Understand integration points with production planning, inventory management, quality management, and transportation operations.

Cross-Functional Integration

• Collaborate closely with SAP teams supporting: Materials Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), Quality Management (QM), Transportation Management (TM), Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), Finance (FI/CO), Materials Ledger and Costing.
• Lead integration design sessions and end-to-end process validation.

Testing & Deployment

• Develop functional specifications and review technical designs.
• Lead System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and defect resolution activities.
• Support data migration validation and cutover planning.
• Assist with organizational change management and user training activities.
• Support hypercare and post-go-live stabilization efforts.

Governance & Project Leadership

• Provide status reporting, risk management, and issue escalation to project leadership.
• Participate in Steering Committee and Program Governance meetings.
• Drive decisions regarding SAP standardization and process harmonization.
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality, timeline, and budget expectations.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of SAP Order-to-Cash functional experience.
• 3+ full lifecycle SAP implementations.
• 2+ SAP S/4HANA implementation projects.
• Prior experience serving as OTC Lead on a Greenfield implementation.
• Strong hands-on SAP SD configuration expertise.
• Experience leading global or multi-site business transformation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of SAP Activate methodology.
• Ability to lead workshops and engage executive-level stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
