Responsibilities:
  • The Lead Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the daily scheduling functions within the Surgery Department.
  • This role ensures accurate and efficient scheduling of surgical cases, optimizes operating room utilization, supports surgeons and clinical teams, and provides leadership, training, and workflow oversight to the scheduling staff.
  • The Lead Scheduler serves as the primary liaison between surgeons’ offices, perioperative leadership, anesthesia, and hospital departments to ensure a smooth and safe surgical scheduling process. 
Qualifications:

Job Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of surgical or perioperative experience. 
  • Strong working knowledge of surgical terminology and procedures. 
  • Proficiency in OR scheduling systems and EMR platforms. 
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and conflict-resolution skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. 

Preferred Job Requirements:  

  • Associate degree.  
  • Team Lead experience.
