Lead Software Engineer

Position Summary

\n

NBOME is seeking a hands-on Technical Lead to design, build, and support enterprise web applications using a Microsoft technology stack (C#, .NET Core, Vue.js, SQL Server) and modern CI/CD practices. This work includes both applications integrated with the Optimizely platform and stand-alone full-stack solutions that support broader business capabilities.

This role is explicitly hands-on and development-focused, requiring active participation in coding, code reviews, and day-to-day delivery. As a player-coach, the Technical Lead will write production code, guide architecture decisions, and ensure reliable, scalable delivery across both integrated and independent application environments.

\n

The ideal candidate will provide leadership across application architecture, development, DevOps, and code quality, while mentoring team members and collaborating closely with business and product stakeholders.

This position has a hybrid work schedule. Optional remote work on Monday and Friday with Tuesday through Thursday onsite work required in either our Chicago, IL or Conshohocken, PA offices

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design, development, and implementation of scalable web applications and APIs
• \n
• Provide architectural guidance and establish development best practices
• \n
• Follow and enhance CI/CD best practices in coordination with Operations and QA teams.
• \n
• Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards through Git pull request (PR) processes
• \n
• Mentor and support developers across front-end and back-end technologies
• \n
• Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to ensure business and tech requirements are met.
• \n
• Other duties as requested by supervisor or senior leadership staff

Qualifications

\n

• \n
• Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field)
• \n
• 7+ years of software development experience
• \n
• 2+ years in a Technical Lead or Senior Developer leadership role
• \n
• Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core/ASP.NET Core, Vue.js, SQL Server
• \n
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs
• \n
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• \n
• Strong experience with Git workflows and Pull Request reviews
• \n
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD tools
• \n
• Experience with cloud platforms, enterprise integrations and third-party APIs, Power BI/similar reporting libraries
• \n
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
• \n
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
