Lead Solar Installer

This position will lead a team to diagnose, repair, and recommend supplemental energy solutions to a broad clientele. This position will provide field repair and installation services using the latest energy storage, solar energy, controls and other solutions to deliver reliability, efficiency, and profitability.

Lead Solar Installer's service a broad range of home energy systems, included but not limited to solar PV systems, solar systems with backup battery, solar pool heaters, solar water heaters, and electric vehicle chargers.

Responsibilities include:

• Work efficiency of self and crew in repairs and modifications of existing energy systems
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing
• Upselling additional services
• Providing a consistent customer experience that meets company expectations
• Accountable for documentation and communication for all assigned work
• Preparation and execution of work safety in accordance with OSHA regulations
• Accountable for maintaining company fleet stock and cleanliness
• Warehouse organization and cleanliness as assigned by supervisor
• General labor, including or not limited to carrying panels and ladders, panel cleaning, site cleanup
• Participates in the On Call rotation
• Assess site general conditions per job safety analysis
• Sends invoice and collects payment at point of service

Requirements

• Demonstrates specific task proficiency
• 2+ years proven field service experience
• Electrical, roofing, solar, HVAC, and/or Plumbing background perferred
• Highly organized and very attentive to detail
• Well-spoken, clean appearance, and good client manners
• Clean driving record, valid license and ability to drive small and large service vehicles
• Drug free
• Hand tools and basic power tools
• Ability to work 40-50 daytime hours per week

• Electrical/Roofing/Solar/Engineering/Generator training and education
• Solar/NABCEP/Electrical certification
• Field service software familiarity
• Associates or greater college education

Benefits

Salary starts at $25-32/hr based on qualifications, plus monthly bonus based on upsell ability. Benefits include majority-paid medical, dental, vision and matching 401K program. Earned paid time off starts at two weeks annually with 7 paid holidays.
