We are looking for a dynamic, hands-on sommelier to help lead our wine program. This is not just a desk job -- you will be the "wine personality" on the floor during peak service, guiding guests through a memorable dining experience, driving sales, and mentoring a passionate service team.
What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)
Floor Leadership: Be a highly visible, hands-on presence, engaging with guests and guiding pairing choices.
List Curation: Maintain and update our extensive, high-profile wine list, focusing on seasonal availability and menu pairing.
Sales & Strategy: Drive revenue by training service staff on wine knowledge, tasting notes, and effective, approachable selling techniques.
Inventory & Purchasing: Oversee ordering, manage inventory, and maintain appropriate stock levels to support peak operations.
Events: Plan and execute wine-related events, such as winemaker dinners or tastings.
What You Bring (Qualifications)
Experience: 2+ years of experience as a Wine Director, Head Sommelier, or Senior Sommelier in a high-volume or fine dining setting.
Knowledge: Deep expertise in global wine regions, varietals, and vintages.
Personality: A passion for making wine approachable, fun, and engaging.
Flexibility: Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays during the peak season.
