Lead Specialist, Product ManagementRole SummaryThe Lead Specialist, Product Management is responsible for owning and scaling our product adoption and fulfillment ecosystem , enabling instructor adoption and student access through accurate product metadata, offers, and entitlements. You will focus on how a variety of personas accessing Pearson products and how to best integrate our experience across the Higher Education Institutional ecosystem. You will drive innovative ideas, solutions, processes, and products with decisive action. You will work collaboratively with other product management teams across Pearson to ensure integrated use cases are considered and supported, and you will work directly with development teams who build features specifically geared toward improving the integration and access journey of our customers. You will become an expert in the Pearson systems and tools that enable customers to adopt, integrate, purchase, and access materials seamlessly.The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is detail-oriented and able to manage complex projects. The candidate must be a team player and strong communicator who can build relationships with stakeholders on various teams and levels across the organization.Job ResponsibilitiesServe as technical product manager for new integration feature development, creating requirements, managing backlog, prioritizing development, and engaging directly with engineering teamCollaborate with UX, CX, product managers, and other cross-functional teams across Pearson to ensure use cases are understood and requirements are implemented according to user needsLead and support continual process improvement by proposing and solutioning optimizations for access and integration workflows and user experiencesWork with Director of Product Management to define product roadmap and growth opportunitiesLead creation of product-related documentation and go-to-market activitiesAnalyze usage data and customer feedback to inform roadmap and prioritization of requirementsThinking from a data-first mentality, incorporating data wherever possible for informed decision-making and developmentDevelop rapport and trust with key stakeholders across Pearson business unitsQualificationsBachelor's degree in a relevant field and/or a minimum 5+ years' experience in product managementDemonstrated prior experience leading cross-functional projects and building cross-platform solutionsExperience building and managing APIs, technical integrations, or platformsAbility to work closely with engineering teams to design scalable solutionsFamiliarity with cloud-based data platforms (Tableau, Snowflake and Google BigQuery)Experience with Agile development methodologies and prioritizing backlogs for development teams; experience with Jira and Confluence is a plusDetail-oriented, with ability to prioritize roadmaps and workloadExcellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, for both technical and non-technical topicsProject management, leadership, and cross-group collaboration skillsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong listener, with ability to interview customers and stakeholders to understand what problems we need to solve for and translate those into product requirementsStrong team-player attitude, with ability to work well independentlyAbility to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levelsKnowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, MS Project, and PowerPointDemonstrated ability and desire to successfully work on a virtual teamCompensationThe full-time salary range for this role is between $100,000 - $150,000.This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program, and information on benefits offered is here.EEO StatementPearson is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a member of E-Verify.
