    Description

    Lead Stevedore - 21.00 Per Hour - HEAVY OT
    SAVARD Personnel Group is seeking a Lead Stevedore to oversee vessel discharge operations at a client site in the Port of Houston. The Dock Foreman will supervise dock personnel, coordinate cargo movement, ensure safe operations, and maintain productivity while working alongside crane operators, forklift operators, cargo checkers, and terminal staff. 
    Responsibilities
    • Supervise daily dock operations and vessel discharge activities
    • Lead and direct dock crews to ensure safe and efficient cargo handling
    • Coordinate with crane operators, forklift operators, cargo checkers, and terminal personnel
    • Monitor loading and unloading of bagged cement, supersacks, and other bulk cargo
    • Ensure compliance with all port, OSHA, and company safety procedures
    • Conduct pre-shift safety meetings and communicate daily work assignments
    • Monitor productivity and maintain operational schedules
    • Report equipment, safety, or operational issues to management
    • Maintain accurate records of cargo operations and crew activities
    • Assist with general dock operations as needed
    Qualifications
    • Must have experience as a Dock Foreman, Lead Stevedore, or similar supervisory role
    • Experience supervising vessel discharge and dock operations
    • Knowledge of crane operations, rigging, cargo handling, and marine terminal procedures
    • TWIC Card required
    • OSHA certification is a plus
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

    Shifts:
    • 12 hour shifts starting on July 24th til vessel is completed 
    • Day/Nights available 


    Duration:
    • 1-2 weeks project; could turn into recurrring opportunity
