Short Description
Responsible for placing daily orders to 6-8 of our vendors and conducting daily inventory on said items (This would include, but not limited to, Bakery, Dairy, Produce, Coke, Pepsi, Edward Don, Hubert, etc.)
Responsible for implementing the Pull Sheet system. This position will work closely with Executive Chef and pull all of the products from the freezer in accordance with the recipe requirements days before for every cook. (this will keep the freezer in order and keep the employees out of the frozen/refrigerated boxes)
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the receiving/distribution area of nutritional services
Identification of damaged goods and quality and condition
Receiving and documenting/verifying all food & beverage orders, including small equipment orders, on a daily basis.
Responsible for proper rotation of all products, FIFO (first in, first out).
Responsible for temperature recording in storeroom, including the walk in refrigerator and freezer.
Responsible for sweeping and mopping all floors, under racks and corridors in front of the store room on a daily basis.
Responsible for assembling all requests for floor stock/requisitions to be delivered and or picked up by courier, etc. to be delivered to all external buildings
Responsible for taking temperatures of food deliveries
Responsible for participating in monthly departmental inventory
Maintain efficiency and safety throughout your area
Identify dead stock (expired stock)
Experience Required
A minimum of 8 years food service experience & 8 years purchasing food experience; Knowledge of inventory management; Knowledge of Joint Commission Procedures
Education Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
