About Our Client
Headquartered in Torrington, CT with a secondary office in Providence, RI 02903. Project locations throughout CT (Norwalk/Stanford/Greenwich area) and Rhode Island. The company originated as a materials company within the industry and eventually grew until they had multiple branches within. Besides being known for their materials wholesale branch they also have a hand in the aggregate and heavy civil field and do some utility work. We work specifically with their building division, all vertical construction. They are a top 400 ENR firm. Been in business for 100 years and family owned and operated. Our contact is a VP, been there for 23 years and most of the tenure is similar. They hire people who are committed to finding something long term. Team size: the vertical construction team is about 100+, total company has about 1000 people. Projects: K-12 schools, Higher Ed and Industrial/Healthcare.
Job Description
Manage daily operations on construction sites, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget. Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and team members to maintain efficient workflows. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards on all projects. Monitor progress and address any issues or delays promptly. Conduct regular site inspections to maintain high-quality construction standards. Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules and reports. Facilitate clear communication between project stakeholders to align on goals and expectations. Provide leadership and mentorship to construction teams, fostering a productive work environment.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Lead Superintendent should have: experience managing construction projects from start to finish. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively. Knowledge of safety regulations and construction best practices. Proficiency in project management tools and software. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
