Lead Supervising Electrician

Nike Air Manufacturing Innovation operates in a fast-paced, highly integrated production environment. This role leads and supervises electrical execution across Air MI facilities and is part of the Production Equipment Engineering team within Manufacturing Operations. It partners closely with Maintenance and Facilities to ensure electrical systems reliability, safe operation, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Shift:Office schedule, Monday–Friday (8 hours/day). This role may require availability outside regular business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support urgent operational needs.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a Licensed Lead Supervising Electrician who can provide technical leadership and act as the electrical authority for in-house electrical work. This role is responsible for overseeing execution, enforcing code compliance, and serving as the escalation point for complex electrical and system issues.

The ideal candidate combines deep electrical expertise with strong leadership capability. You will guide electricians and technicians, support facility and engineering initiatives, and ensure all electrical work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Oregon electrical codes. This role requires strong decision-making, high autonomy, and the ability to balance daily operational execution with long-term system reliability, safety, and performance improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

•     Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience (e.g., completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program, Journeyman Electrician certification, military electrical training, or equivalent industrial experience).Valid State of Oregon Supervising Electrician License.
•     8+ years of industrial electrical experience in manufacturing environments.Proven experience leading electrical work and supervising teams.
•     Advanced troubleshooting of industrial electrical systemsStrong knowledge of:
• o    
• NEC (NFPA 70)
• o    
• Oregon Electrical Specialty Code (OESC)
• o    
• NFPA 70E (Electrical Safety in the Workplace)
• o    
• Lockout/Tagout (OSHA 1910.147)
• o    
• Arc flash safety and hazard analysis
•     QEW (Qualified Electrical Worker) certification or equivalentStrong leadership, communication, and technical decision-making skills
•     Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally in production environments

Preferred Skills & ExperienceExperience working with vendors and managing electrical contractors, including scope coordination and quality oversight

•     Experience with transformer configuration, installation, and power distribution systems

You will serve as the licensed authority, support escalations, and ensure all electrical work enables safe, reliable, and scalable production operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the licensed electrical authority and ensure compliance with NEC, Oregon codes, and safety standards

•     Act as the signing supervisor for permitting and internal electrical workLead resolution of complex electrical escalations and system failures
•     Oversee and approve electrical modifications, upgrades, and installationsSupport Facilities in defining solutions and structured action plans for electrical modifications and installations.
•     Ensure electrical systems are production-ready, safe, and scalableCoordinate and oversee external electrical contractors and vendor activities
•     Provide mentorship and technical guidance to electricians and maintenance techniciansEnforce electrical safety practices, including LOTO, arc flash, and NFPA 70E complianceCollaborate cross-functionally within Manufacturing Operations to drive execution and alignment
