Role OverviewThis is a
high-impact systems leadership role responsible for ensuring that all subsystems—mechanical, electrical, autonomy, mission systems, and vendor components—integrate into a
cohesive and functional product family.
You are not coordinating—you are accountable for making the
entire system work end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities- Own and maintain full system architecture across platforms
- Define and enforce interfaces across subsystems and vendors
- Develop and manage:
- Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
- Requirements traceability and verification logic
- Lead architecture trade studies and platform commonality decisions
- Identify and mitigate system-level risks early
- Drive:
- Design reviews (PDR/CDR)
- Integration reviews
- Test readiness reviews
- Resolve cross-discipline integration conflicts
- Maintain configuration control and system consistency
- Lead architecture decisions for:
- Autonomy integration
- Mission systems
- Ground Control Systems (GCS)
- Chair technical discussions with vendors and internal teams
Required Qualifications- Degree in Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or related
- 7+ years in:
- Systems engineering
- Integration
- Complex product delivery
- Strong experience with:
- Multi-disciplinary integration
- ICD development and management
- Experience with:
- Requirements tools (DOORS, DOORS NG, JAMA, etc.)
- Experience participating in:
- PDR / CDR or equivalent reviews
- Ability to work across:
- Mechanical
- Electrical
- Software
- Test domains
