About Us

The Goddard School® of Pflugerville is expanding and seeking a warm, energetic, and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team who has strong potty training skills. This is a 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m., Monday-Friday position. We are a highly reputable early childhood program focused on play-based learning, responsive caregiving, and strong family partnerships.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, Human Development, or related field

  • Experience in an early childhood program or preschool setting

  • Strong understanding of child development, responsive caregiving, and potty training skills

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Prior experience working with toddlers/twos (strongly preferred)

  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and safely handle toddlers/twos care routines

  • Strong communication skills and dependable work ethic

  • Warm, nurturing, and patient approach with children and families

  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment

  • Implement developmentally appropriate activities and routines

  • Support child’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development

  • Communicate positively and professionally with families

  • Collaborate with co-teachers to ensure smooth daily operations

  • Model reliability, empathy, and professionalism
