Position Overview


As a Lead Teacher, you will plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, create a safe and engaging classroom environment, and support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of every child in your care.


Shifts Available: AM or PM
Classroom Placement: Pre-K or Infant/Toddler (based on experience)


Key Responsibilities

• Lead classroom activities aligned with early learning standards
  
  
• Create and maintain daily routines and structure
  
  
• Build strong relationships with children and families
  
  
• Observe, assess, and document children's progress
  
  
• Maintain a safe, organized, and positive learning environment
  
  
• Supervise Assistant Teachers and classroom aides
  
  
• Communicate effectively with parents and coworkers
  
  
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing requirements
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of an Associate’s Degree (2-year degree) in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  
  
• At least 2 years of experience working with children in a licensed childcare or educational setting
  
  
• Strong classroom management and leadership skills
  
  
• Must be at least 18 years old
  
  
• Must obtain or provide the following clearances:
  
  
  • FBI Fingerprinting
    
    
  • PA Child Abuse Clearance
    
    
  • PA Criminal Background Check
