Position Overview
As a Lead Teacher, you will plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, create a safe and engaging classroom environment, and support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of every child in your care.
Shifts Available: AM or PM
Classroom Placement: Pre-K or Infant/Toddler (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead classroom activities aligned with early learning standards
- Create and maintain daily routines and structure
- Build strong relationships with children and families
- Observe, assess, and document children's progress
- Maintain a safe, organized, and positive learning environment
- Supervise Assistant Teachers and classroom aides
- Communicate effectively with parents and coworkers
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing requirements
Requirements
- Minimum of an Associate’s Degree (2-year degree) in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience working with children in a licensed childcare or educational setting
- Strong classroom management and leadership skills
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must obtain or provide the following clearances:
- FBI Fingerprinting
- PA Child Abuse Clearance
- PA Criminal Background Check
