Lead Teacher - Daycare & Preschool
Location: The Learning Experience - East Brunswick, NJ
Pay: $17-$18 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday


The Learning Experience - East Brunswick is seeking a caring and energetic Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team and lead a classroom of 2-year-old children.


This is a great opportunity for an experienced daycare or preschool teacher who enjoys helping young children build language, independence, confidence, and social skills. You'll create a structured and nurturing classroom where children learn through play, exploration, and positive relationships.


Key Responsibilities

•  Lead daily classroom routines and learning experiences for 2-year-old children 
•  Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum 
•  Create engaging activities through art, music, movement, sensory play, stories, and hands-on learning 
•  Support language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development 
•  Encourage independence, self-help skills, and positive peer interactions 
•  Support meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions 
•  Maintain consistent classroom routines and positive behavior guidance 
•  Observe children's development and maintain required classroom documentation 
•  Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with families 
•  Collaborate with Assistant Teachers and center leadership 
•  Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom 
•  Follow New Jersey childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements 

Qualifications

•  High school diploma or GED required 
•  Previous daycare, preschool, childcare, or early childhood education experience preferred 
•  Experience working with toddlers or 2-year-old children strongly preferred 
•  Previous Lead Teacher or classroom leadership experience is a plus 
•  CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus 
•  Patient, nurturing, dependable, and energetic 
•  Strong classroom management and communication skills 
•  Ability to meet New Jersey childcare licensing requirements
