The Lead Infant Teacher at Wonder Kids Academy is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the infant classroom while providing a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment. This position leads classroom staff, ensures compliance with all licensing regulations, and supports the spiritual, emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development of each child.



Leadership & Classroom Management
·       Serve as the primary leader in the infant classroom
·       Supervise and support assistant teacher
·       Ensure proper staff-to-child ratios are maintained
·       Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and schedules
·       Maintain a structured and organized classroom environment



Child Care & Development
·       Provide responsive care to infants (6 weeks to 12 months)
·       Follow individualized routines for feeding, diapering, and sleeping
·       Plan developmental activities (sensory play, language exposure, motor skills)
·       Observe and document developmental progress



Health & Safety
·       Ensure compliance with Georgia Bright from the Start (DECAL) standards
·       Follow sanitation, diapering, and safe sleep procedures
·       Conduct daily health checks
·       Maintain a clean, safe classroom



Spiritual Development
·       Integrate Christian principles into daily routines
·       Lead Bible stories, songs, and prayers
·       Model Christ-like behavior



Parent Communication
·       Maintain daily communication logs
·       Build professional relationships with families
·       Address concerns respectfully
·       Communicate progress and updates



Administrative Responsibilities
·       Maintain accurate records
·       Ensure documentation meets licensing requirements
·       Participate in meetings and training
·       Enforce academy policies



Qualifications
·       High school diploma required; CDA or higher preferred
·       1–2 years of infant classroom experience
·       Knowledge of infant development
·       CPR/First Aid certification
·       Meet Georgia DECAL requirements
·       Pass background check
·       Commitment to Christian values
