Key Responsibilities 

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons and activities aligned with early childhood learning standards
  • Create a welcoming classroom where children feel secure, respected, and encouraged to explore
  • Promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development through structured and unstructured activities
  • Maintain discipline and establish routines that encourage positive behavior and cooperation
  • Observe, assess, and document children’s growth, behaviors, and learning progress using appropriate tools and methods
  • Build strong partnerships with families through regular updates, parent-teacher conferences, and progress reports
  • Follow all health, hygiene, and safety protocols, including maintaining a clean and organized classroom
  • Work with fellow teachers, aides, and school administrators to support school goals and share best practices
  • Modify activities to accommodate children with diverse learning needs and developmental levels
  • Participate in ongoing training, workshops, and staff meetings to stay current with early childhood education trends. 

Qualifications

  • 18 years or older
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous 1 year experience in a preschool or child care learning facility is required. 
  • DHS training.

Pay: $14.00-$16.00/hour based on education and experience
