About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. As a Lead Teacher, you will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom where children can learn, grow, and thrive. You will lead daily classroom activities, implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences, and work collaboratively with families and fellow educators to support each childs success.
The ideal candidate is a dedicated educator with strong leadership skills, a passion for early childhood education, and a commitment to providing exceptional care and learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and daily learning activities.
- Create and maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
- Foster childrens social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
- Establish consistent daily routines that promote learning and independence.
- Observe, assess, and document childrens developmental progress.
- Build positive relationships and communicate regularly with families.
- Supervise, mentor, and support assistant teachers and classroom staff.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and health and safety standards.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working in a childcare, preschool, or early childhood education setting required.
- Previous classroom leadership or Lead Teacher experience preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with children, families, and team members.
Preferred Skills
- Experience planning and implementing engaging early childhood curriculum.
- Ability to create an inclusive, positive, and supportive classroom culture.
- Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
