About the Role:
The Wonder Years Learning Center in Wilmington, MA is looking for a passionate and dedicated Lead Pre-K Teacher to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on young learners in a nurturing and creative environment. You will be working with an experienced Teacher, who has been a long-term employee to plan curriculum and co-lead the classroom. Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement an age-appropriate play-based curriculum aligned with early childhood development standards 
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment for all children
  • Support nature-based outdoor play 2-3 times each day
  • Monitor and document individual child progress and developmental milestones
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child development and classroom activities
  • Maintain compliance with state licensing regulations and center policies
  • Collaborate with staff to support a positive, team-oriented learning community
Requirements:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
  • Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to pass a background check in accordance with Massachusetts state requirements
  • Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine love for working with children
