Lead Teachers for BHS Peer Tutoring & Mentoring

Lead Teacher(s) for Brockton High School Peer Tutoring & Mentor Program Job Description: The lead teacher(s) for the BHS Peer Tutoring & Mentor program will work collaboratively with school leaders and staff to develop student leaders. The tutoring and mentor program will take place every day after school where we have late buses. Qualifications: Massachusetts Teaching license Experience working with high school students Experience working with students on IEPs or with 504s and multilingual learners Responsibilities:

• Recruit and retain students to volunteer as tutors and mentors
• Promote the program so students use it as a support
• Maintain attendance records and tutoring and mentoring logs
• Collaborate with teachers to offer support around assessment windows
• Collect data and share with stakeholders in routine program assessments
• Develop a schedule of monitor teachers and collaborate to ensure the tutoring center remains open daily

Reports to: Academic Associate Principals and BHS Principal Program Hours: 2:20pm - 3:50pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and non-meeting Thursdays Rate: Contractual Rate Position Type: After School Positions Available: One, could be a job share Funding Source: Grant
