Lead Tech Mechanical EngineerResponsibilitiesHands‑on development improvements to high‑speed automated equipment for the manufacturing of medical devices.Performs troubleshooting and maintenance of high‑speed automated equipment.Use technical knowledge and experience in programming and troubleshooting to resolve issues and improve automated machine performance using the following technologies:Robots: FANUC, ABB, Epson and Stäubli (strong experience with pick and place applications)Rockwell Automation Software: Studio 5000 (RSLogix 5000), Factory Talk Machine Edition/Site Edition, etc.Siemens Automation Software: Step 7, TIA Portal, WinCC, etc.Servo Motion Control Systems such as Kinetix Servo drives, Sinamics or similar.Advanced process control: Fuzzy Logic, Profinet, Profibus, PID Function and Functional Charts Language, Ethernet‑IP / TCP‑IP Networks.Vision systems development and programming such as Cognex (Insight 5000, 2000, micro), Keyence CVX, IV, Banner.Ultrasonic welding, InkJet printers (Domino, Lynx, Markem Image, Keyence).Thermos transfer printers, flexographic printers, and digital printers.Product and parts identification including RFID and barcoding (software, printers, and readers).Pneumatics and electropneumatic systems, mechanical knowledge, electronics.Follow all safety procedures and identify/communicate necessary safety adjustments, including proper use of PPE.Work with BD production, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure goals are met.Maintain primary communication of performance goals and requirements identified by management.Support CAPA activities as required to address systemic issues in the manufacturing and quality systems.Ability to work on a flexible schedule and cover 2nd and 3rd shifts as needed.Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree is required (degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electronic Engineering or any related field is desired).At least 3‑5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a highly automated environment.Becton, Dickinson, and Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
