Lead Tennis Instructor

Summary: This position is responsible for leading our Youth Tennis Lesson program. The Lead Tennis Instructor will develop, plan, and lead lessons along with Tennis Instructors.

Essential Functions

1. Give daily instruction to youth ages 6-18 years old.
2. Effectively utilize drills as well as games to make experience both informative and fun.
3. Identify where participants are lacking and how they can improve their level of play.
4. Delegate instructional tasks to tennis instructors.
5. Ensure participants are always in a safe environment.
6. Communicate with parents, participants, instructors, and Youth Program Manager.
7. Communicate weather related cancelations and supplies needs with Youth Program Manager.

Physical Requirements

1. Ability to demonstrate physical fitness to include frequent light to occasional heavy lifting (up to 15 lbs.) standing, and walking for long periods of time, bending, pushing, and pulling.
2. Able to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time and intermittently.
3. Ability to reach with hands and arms, push items overhead, occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.
4. Ability to talk, hear, and see.

1. Ability to communicate policies, rules, and regulations to all that use the facility
2. Ability to provide direct leadership, instruction, and motivation.
3. Ability to communicate clearly with youth participating in Tennis.

Skills

1. Knowledge of various tennis techniques and rules and the ability to instruct youth.
2. Good leadership, communication, and social skills.

Abilities

1. Communicate effectively with participants and parents.
2. Give clear and concise instructions.

Required Education and Experience

1. 5 Years' experience instructing tennis.
2. High School Diploma/ GED.

1. Must pass required State and Federal Background Checks
