JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Summary


The Lead Test Engineer will be an integral part of client's Agile Software Development Team, participating throughout the project lifecycle—from concept and design to development, testing, and post-production support. Responsibilities include leading a team testing new features, ensuring system performance under heavy load, verifying critical fixes for production environments, and engaging in regression efforts for major releases. Test Automation will be an essential part of this role, to seamlessly transition tests from manual to automated scripts.

This position is based in Norcross, GA (Peachtree industrial blvd, near to peachtree corners) and requires in-office presence on a hybrid schedule (Every Tue and Wed in office).


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field, with 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with of Selenium UI test script development, Java, C#, cucumber reporting, SQL Server Database, Eclipse IDE.
  • Experience with automation frameworks and shift-left testing methodologies. Experience leading a small team in test activities, including manual and performance testing.
  • Proven ability to create and execute test plans effectively, ensuring product quality.
  • Keen attention to detail, skilled at documenting system issues and managing them to resolution with a user-centric approach.
  • Strong communication skills, with a willingness to participate in team retrospectives, standups, technical discussions, and other Agile ceremonies.
  • Eagerness to continuously learn, expand product knowledge, and embrace new technologies to enhance testing processes.
  • Proficient in both written and verbal communication for informal and group settings.
  • Familiarity with performance testing methods and results analysis.
  • Strong technical proficiency to assist in identifying and troubleshooting complex databases, software, and system issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and willingness to adapt to changing team priorities.
  • Self-motivated, capable of working in a fast-paced team environment, managing time effectively.
  • Experience managing system allocations for test environments, including physical and virtual machines.
  • Provides detailed estimates throughout the product lifecycle, from design to testing and release preparation.
  • Collaborates with DevOps staff to ensure efficient deployments and maintain configuration management of all test systems.
  • Experience working with Agile software development teams; familiarity with Agile ceremonies.
  • Commitment to adhering to testing best practices and suggesting improvements.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in SCADA, liquid management, accounting systems and/or hardware interfaces.
  • Proficiency in testing within Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) environments.
  • Experience with Jira workflows and task management.
  • Exposure to testing diverse system architectures.
  • Experience/Working knowledge of Performance test tools and methodologies.
