About the Position
We are currently seeking a Full-Time Toddler Co-Lead Teacher to join our faculty and work with children approximately 1 to 2 years of age.
This position includes:
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- An 8-hour workday
- A consistent daily shift to make planning your life outside of work easier
- Working alongside another teacher as a Co-Lead Teacher
- Monday through Friday schedule
- No weekends
Our toddler teachers create a warm, engaging classroom where children feel safe, loved, and excited to explore. At this age, teachers have the incredible opportunity to support rapidly developing language, independence, social-emotional skills, physical development, and curiosity.

- $16.00-$21.00 per hour, based on education and qualifications

What You'll Do
As a Toddler Co-Lead Teacher, you will partner with your teaching team to create a classroom that is nurturing, engaging, developmentally appropriate, and responsive to the individual needs of each child.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building warm, trusting relationships with children and families
- Creating a welcoming classroom where children feel safe, secure, and supported
- Planning and implementing engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences
- Supporting children's emerging language, social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Encouraging independence through age-appropriate routines and classroom experiences
- Observing children's interests and using those observations to create meaningful learning opportunities
- Supporting positive behaviors and helping young children begin developing emotional regulation and social skills
- Maintaining a clean, organized, engaging, and safe classroom environment
- Communicating with families each day about their child's experiences, accomplishments, routines, and development
- Sharing classroom updates through our school communication tools and personal conversations
- Collaborating closely with your co-teacher, fellow faculty members, and school leadership
- Following all school policies, licensing requirements, and health and safety procedures
- Participating in professional development and continuing to grow as an early childhood educator

Qualifications
We welcome candidates at different stages of their early childhood education careers.
Preferred education and credentials include one or more of the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a child-related field
- Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a child-related field
- Current CDA or Early Childhood Teaching Credential
- Currently enrolled in a CDA, Early Childhood Education, or related degree program
The ideal candidate will also demonstrate:

- An ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team

The Goddard School located in Strongsville, Ohio has proudly served children and families in our community for more than 20 years. Our school cares for approximately 140 children from six weeks through six years of age.
