Requirements & Responsibilities:
- Applicants for this position must be willing to work full-time M-F (8-hr shift with a 1-hour lunch break). (Projected schedule 8:30am - 5:30pm)
- Must be willing to work with children ages 6-weeks to 2 years and must be willing to assist in ALL required personal care routines.
- Applicants should have a love of teaching, working with children, and have the desire to learn and grow within the early childhood education field!
- Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment.
- Advance children’s physical and intellectual competence through quality teacher-created lesson planning that utilizes gathered assessment data.
- Establish positive and effective family relations through daily in-person professional communication.
- Proficient with inter-personal communication between children, peers and parents.
- Must maintain professional commitment to the Goddard inquiry-based educational philosophy.
Applicants MustBe Willing to Obtain OR Have:
- An active Merit account - Washington's Professional Development & Workforce Registry.
- A approved Portable Background Check (through Merit).

- A degree or certification in Education or Early Childhood Education or an Education related field.
- The following required prerequisites: 30 hour Childcare Basics certificate, a negative Tb Test, proof of MMR immunization, CPR/First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogens Training, WA State Food Handlers, Goddard required Abuse & Safe Sleep Training, and all required DCYF training courses.
