Lead Warehouse Associate Location: Hardeeville, SC, United States

Description Reporting to the Operations or Branch Manager, the Lead Warehouse Associate has primary responsibility for keeping merchandise organized and ready to ship to customers and branch locations, as well as receiving incoming merchandise from various sources, performing inventory counts, and verifying contents against packing slips.

A Little About Your Day You will:

  • Receive and inspect incoming merchandise to ensure that delivery matches packing slip.
  • Examine incoming stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisor or vendor.
  • Sort, organize, and label merchandise with appropriate stock/inventory control codes.
  • Perform scheduled cycle counts of product for inventory and enter data manually in computer to ensure information is updated.
  • Load truck with packed orders in an organized and specified sequence.
  • Read pick tickets, prioritizing most critical orders, and verify item picked matches the pick tickets.
  • Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves following a set of specific instructions or procedures.
  • Send picked orders to the packing department after verifying item is free of defects or damage.
  • Move completed orders to appropriate shipment locations.
  • Operate forklift to lift or place merchandise in their appropriate locations on shelves.
  • Ensure that warehouse is kept orderly, organized, and clean during production and at the end of the shift.
  • Act as backup and support for the customer service team, helping customers both in person and on the phone.
  • Occasionally move company vehicles and motorized equipment.
  • Communicate issues to supervisor for resolution.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What Youll Need for Success

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a warehouse or distribution center.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a lead warehouse supervisory or managerial role.
  • Prior experience with forklift/forklift certification preferred.
