Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable and motivated Lead Warehouse Associate for a family-owned manufacturing and distribution facility in Oklahoma City. This position supports daily warehouse operations while offering the opportunity to develop into a key leadership role within the department.
The company is looking for someone who takes initiative, stays productive without constant direction, and can become a trusted long-term member of the team. The ideal candidate has previous warehouse or material-handling experience, demonstrates strong leadership potential, and is willing to help train and support other associates.
Required Experience & Skills
Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or material-handling experience
Leadership experience or demonstrated leadership potential strongly preferred
Strong initiative and ability to work independently
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Ability to accurately count materials and verify quantities
Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude
Ability to identify and complete necessary tasks without constant supervision
Ability to remain productive during slower periods
Ability to lift and move at least 40 lbs
Must limit personal cell phone use while working
Must successfully complete a 10-panel drug screen, including THC
Local background check required; previous convictions may be considered
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assist with day-to-day warehouse and material-handling operations
Load, unload, stage, and organize roofing materials
Operate a forklift to move and organize inventory
Operate L-gun and slitter equipment as assigned
Accurately count materials and verify inventory quantities
Pull, stage, and prepare materials according to operational needs
Maintain organized inventory and warehouse locations
Help train new warehouse associates on procedures and assigned tasks
Take initiative to identify work that needs to be completed
Support efficient workflow throughout the warehouse
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all company procedures and workplace safety requirements
Perform additional warehouse and production duties as assigned
Leadership Responsibilities
This position is intended for someone who can develop into a trusted lead within warehouse operations.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous warehouse lead or team lead experience
Forklift operating experience
Roofing material or building-products experience
Manufacturing or distribution experience
Inventory and material-counting experience
Experience training new warehouse employees
Equipment operating experience
Strong mechanical aptitude
Forklift Experience
Previous forklift experience is preferred; however, the company may be willing to train and certify the right candidate who demonstrates strong warehouse experience, reliability, and leadership potential.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move 40+ lbs
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
Ability to safely handle roofing materials and warehouse inventory
Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment when trained and authorized
Comfortable performing physically active work throughout the day
Work Environment
