    Description

    MRC Global serves the oil and gas industry across the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors as well as the chemical and gas distribution market sectors worldwide.

    Job Purpose

    Regularly performs Warehouse &Pipe Yardassociate duties, may specialize in designated areas or functions, and provide support and direction to regular and temporary warehouse associates. Works closely with branch leadership to ensure productivity and safety expectations are met. 

    Responsibilities

    Individual must be able to perform the essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation:

    • Interpret/communicate & train safety policies/practices to ensure safe workpracticesare followed.

    • Unload material, tools, and equipment from vendor trucks.

    • Inspect material for quality requirements.

    • Stocking andtransferringmaterial, tools, andequipmenttoappropriate shelf, bin, rack, or pipe bundle by a predetermined sequence, includingbindinglocation, size, type, style, and length.

    • Markthematerial withthecorrectinformation.

    • Transfer material to and from stock package orders inboxesand pallets as.

    • Assemble customer orders from stock and package orders in boxes and pallets asrequired.

    • Pull orders for delivery and stock-to-stock transfer.

    • Load ontothe correcttruck or transfer tothe packingarea using a forklift, overhead crane, and heavy equipment.

    • Enterappropriate inventory(incoming and outgoing) information intothe SIMSsystem, usinga handheldscanner asappropriate.

    • Maintain site inventory byassistingwithinventory audits.

    • Reviewing various periodic reports,such as traffic and mill test reports.

    • Prepare documentation for UPS, LTL, SH, or Air shipments.

    • AssistPipe Yard/Warehouse Manager/Supervisor in delegating daily duties and assignments to warehouse personnel.

    • Lead and directPipe Yard/Warehouseassociatesin workduties when needed.

    • Establish working rapport with local management, corporate employees, and other branch personnel using proper phone etiquette and other effective interpersonal skills.

    • Adhere to MRCGlobal’sethicspolicy andholdothers accountable for behavior that isconsistentwith MRC ethicalstandards.

    • Take reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others.

    • Report workplace hazards, injuries, or illnessesimmediately. 

    Qualifications

    Any combination of requirements which provide knowledgeand abilitiesnecessary toperform willbe considered.

    • High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree).

    • Must have a current, valid driver’s license and acceptable record at all times.

    • One (1) year experience in pipe yard and/or warehouse environment.

    • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills with leadership qualities.

    Additional Qualifications

    • Must have the ability to provide documentation verifying legal work status.

    • Ability to read and speak the English language proficientlyin order tocommunicate with others,understand and interpret safety instructions,and respond to inquiries.

    • Ability to understand andcomply withMRC guidelines & expectations,to includeCode of Conduct and Conflict of Interest guidelines.
