Position Summary:Penske Logistics is looking for warehouse associates to become part of an excellent team. Provides support and some supervisionto regular and temporary warehouse associate functions. Works closely with Operations Supervisors to ensure employee productivity expectations are met. Provides a variety of responsibilities to meet the supervisors expectations.We take pride in offering a competitive wage and great benefits including:* $22.75/hr plus a $1.00/hr shift differentialWork Schedule:2nd Shift Monday - Thursday 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM 4/10'sAdditional Benefits:* Paid Time Off* Medical Insurance* Dental Insurance* Vision Insurance* Life Insurance* 401K* $125 Boot allowance after 90-days of employment* Associate Referral ProgramMajor Responsibilities:Job requirements may include the following where applicable:* Stage and sort products for loading* Loads and unloads trailers for Dispositions* Cycle count of emergency Totes and accessories and stage Totes* Executes & provides process & project visibility to Operations Supervisor* Expert in warehouse functions* Leads & complies with Safety and Well Being efforts on assigned shift* Maintain a clean and safe work area* Sorts and places parts in racks or other designated areas* Stacks cardboard boxes and pallets* Move materials within the warehouse* Package or kit finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling)* Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system* Quality control* Ensure damaged products are sent out and identify damaged products when received* Complete daily logs* Communicate with associates from other shifts* Attach identifying tags to containers, or mark them with identifying information* Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs* Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets* Assist in warehouse operations when needed* Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed* Fills requisitions, work orders for accessories. and oversee operational needs* Assist with new item setup/footprints* Uses computer to enter records* Maintains inventory records* Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and a variety of warehouse mechanical equipment (where applicable)* Operate forklifts or pallet jacks to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment (where applicable)* Other projects and tasks assigned by supervisor* Assist with training of associates when neededQualifications:* 4 years of warehouse experience preferred* 2 years of inventory or materials management experience preferred* 1 years of supervisory experience preferred* High School diploma or equivalent required* Prior forklift certification preferred* Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint preferred* Ability to learn and use proprietary software required* Flexible to work overtime preferred* Ability to lead a small team, ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexibility required, excellent with numbers, time management, and ability to execute are required.* Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.* Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.This position is designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.
