Description
Position Summary:
The Yard Foreman position supports the successful operations of the business by adding the day day-to-day operations of the Yard. Additionally, the foreman ensures that workers are performing their tasks correctly and that yard associates are trained to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
Compensation: is $22-25 an hour, depending on experience
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- PVC routing, loading, cutting, and cycle counts.
- Assures that the yard is in good safe working order.
- Checks work orders to make sure appropriate equipment is staged for loading.
- Assists customers by filling orders and loading trucks.
- Inspects returned equipment for damage during the rental period.
- Maintains a checklist of equipment status.
- Ensures safe work habits for all staff through supervision and training.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
Requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:- High School diploma
- 1-year experience preferred
- Experience in distribution, shipping, and receiving
- Knowledge of equipment utilization and safety requirements
- Personal and professional integrity
- A clear understanding of the necessity of equipment safety and integrity
- Use of tool and equipment
- English/Spanish is preferred but not required
