Fleet Risk Management - First Line Manager

Role Overview The role involves leading the identification, assessment, reporting, and mitigation of fleet-level risks across power generation projects and heavy industrial assets while proactively spotting emerging issues and evaluating their technical and commercial impacts. It requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop and execute effective mitigation plans, as well as managing fleet risk systems and driving root-cause analysis to resolve underlying issues. Additionally, the position focuses on continuous improvement to enhance operational performance and overall outcomes. This is an on-site role based in Lake Mary, FL.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess fleet-wide risks using structured methods.
  • Analyze technical issues and summarize business impacts clearly.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to plan and execute mitigation actions.
  • Track risk status and keep data accurate and up to date.
  • Support investigations to understand failures and prevent recurrence.
  • Provide engineering insights to improve reliability and reduce risk.
  • Create clear dashboards and reports for leadership.
  • Work with Finance to plan and manage risk-related budgets.
  • Improve team skills through coaching, training, and process updates.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and proactive risk control.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, or similar engineering field.
  • Preferred: business/finance/risk minor and professional certifications.
  • 7+ years of experience in power generation or industrial risk/reliability roles.
  • Knowledge of combined-cycle plants, turbines, generators, and auxiliaries.
  • Experience in commissioning, construction, or operations preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate across global teams and manage forecasts/budgets.
  • Strong analytical, modeling, and technical interpretation skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office; SAP, Power BI, and engineering tools a plus.
  • Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Valid passport/driver's license; ability to travel (10-20%) and work in industrial settings.
