Bachelor"s degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in program management.
5 years of experience in leadership role with/without direct reports.
Experience managing programs for software or hardware engineering teams.
Experience with embedded software development.
Preferred qualifications:
8 years of experience managing cross-functional/team projects.
Experience in the consumer electronics industry.
Experience with Android software development.

Google"s projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You"re equally at home explaining your team"s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.
Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams.
Google TV is a content-forward TV experience built on Android TV OS that connects people with the content they love to watch, across all their services, while also pushing forward new opportunities for Google in the living room. The Google TV team is re-defining TV experience to make it highly personalized, Google-smart, content and voice-forward, and powered by AI- helping users access the world's media and knowledge.

Through recent launches like Chromecast with Google TV, we bring together the best of Google. Google TV is focused on scaling across the OEM ecosystem; working closely with third-party streaming partners plus many teams across Google (for example: Ads, Play, and YouTube); and building a business on TV platforms, OTT devices, and mobile devices. With millions of active users of our products plus being amidst the quickly evolving media and entertainment industry, there are plenty of opportunities for the team and individuals in it.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $192000 - $279000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
Implement communications standards across a portfolio of programs including executive and key partner communications.
Establish a reliable cadence for program reviews, decision-making, prioritization, and Resource Stewardship (effective deployment of machine and people resources) whereby improvements such as efficiency and utilization gains are measurable and the impact can be felt organization wide.
Lead a governance structure that drives effective executive decision-making. Ensure governance structure effectively exposes and mitigates dependencies.
Seek out and identify change management opportunities that increase program velocity and which affect multiple teams. Apply governance over change management to ensure it's used effectively.
Define/manage a program portfolio solving problems that focus on high business impact for the organization and product area.
