    Description

    SUMMARY
    Supports daily production activities by coordinating work, guiding team members, and ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. This role acts as a working lead—performing production work while providing direction to a team and communicating regularly with supervisors to meet production goals.
    Duties and Responsibilities
    The following duties are typical for this role. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices.
    * Maintain the quality of the units produced
    * Maintain a safe working environment
    * Perform hands-on manufacturing work alongside the team as needed.
    * Assist in the training of employees
    * Assist in troubleshooting problems (equipment, employee and production-related)
    * Assist in maintaining production rates
    * Communicate with Foreman on a regular and open basis
    * On an annual basis, the Gunderson QA manual must be reviewed

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    The following generally describes requirements to enter the job and/or be learned within a short period to successfully perform the assigned duties.
    * Working knowledge of AWS D1.5 bridge code
    * Ability to pass 3G/4G FCAW weld test
    * Ability to read a tape measure.
    * Ability to follow verbal/written instructions.
    * Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
    * Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    * Ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers/trainers.

    Experience and Education
    * Manufacturing or construction experience required
    * Prior experience leading or mentoring employees required
