Our team is committed to quality, safety, and operational excellence - and we're looking for a driven Lean Coordinator to take our continuous improvement efforts to the next level. THE ROLEThe Lean Coordinator is a hands-on leadership role that partners with our production, quality, engineering, maintenance, supply chain, and leadership teams to drive measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost. You will own the Lean program, champion a culture of continuous improvement, and develop the capabilities of our workforce.Reports to: Operations Manager – Steel Division  WHAT YOU'LL DOLead Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across the facilityFacilitate Kaizen events, 5S activities, value stream mapping, and root cause analysis sessionsAnalyze production data and process flows to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunitiesDevelop, document, and implement standard work procedures with cross-functional teamsCoach and train employees, supervisors, and managers on Lean principles and toolsMonitor and report KPIs related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivitySupport facility layout improvements, workflow optimization, and visual management systemsTrack and communicate project progress and outcomes to managementChampion a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOREducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, Business, or a related field preferred5+ years of manufacturing or continuous improvement experience, or an equivalent combinationProven track record leading Lean manufacturing initiatives with measurable resultsLean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferredBackground in heavy manufacturing, machining, welding, fabrication, or assembly a plusFamiliarity with ISO 9001, ASME, or military quality standards a plus Skills & CompetenciesHands-on expertise with Lean tools: 5S, Kaizen, VSM, standard work, visual management, and root cause analysisStrong communicator and influencer - able to engage and align people at all levelsData-driven problem solver who can turn analysis into actionOrganized and effective at managing multiple projects simultaneouslyProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) WORK ENVIRONMENTThis position splits time between the shop floor and an office environment. Floor work involves exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving machinery, vibration, and elevated noise levels.
