    The Role We Want You For
    The Learning & Development Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting employee learning programs, with a primary focus on the company’s extended onboarding experience. This role partners with new employees, managers, business groups, and internal subject-matter experts to ensure employees receive consistent support, training, and follow-up throughout their first 90 days and set them up for success long-term.

    The Specifics of the Role

    • Coordinate the company’s extended onboarding program for new employees.
    • Schedule and facilitate 10-day check-ins with new hires to gather feedback, answer questions, identify concerns, and support their transition into the organization and specifically onto the jobsite.
    • Coordinate 30-, 60-, and 90-day check-ins with new employees and project leaders.
    • Ensure check-ins are completed consistently and documented appropriately.
    • Track employee progress throughout the onboarding period and follow up on outstanding action items.
    • Identify common onboarding challenges, training gaps, and employee concerns.
    • Escalate significant issues to the appropriate business leaders.
    • Maintain onboarding calendars, participant records, feedback, and program documentation.
    • Partner with managers to reinforce role expectations, performance goals, available resources, and development opportunities.
    • Facilitate onboarding sessions, employee training programs, workshops, and virtual learning sessions.
    • Support manager training related to onboarding, employee development, and coaching.
    • Assist with the design, development, and improvement of onboarding and employee development programs.
    • Prepare regular reports on onboarding engagement, trends, risks, and program effectiveness.
    • Maintain ownership of the success and future evolution of the extended onboarding program.
    • Support additional learning and development initiatives and talent management team initiatives as needed.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational development, education, communications, business, or a related field preferred.
    • Four to five years of experience in corporate training, learning and development, employee onboarding, talent development, or a related function.
    • Experience facilitating employee training, onboarding sessions, workshops, or group discussions.
    • Experience coordinating programs involving multiple employees, managers, departments, or locations.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills.
    • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with employees and leaders at all levels.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential or sensitive employee information.
    • Ability to identify concerns, ask thoughtful questions, and appropriately escalate issues.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, or similar tools.
    • Experience with a learning management system, HR information system, or employee survey platform preferred.
