Job Responsibilities and Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Learning Consultant will be accountable for leading and facilitating the successful completion of learning and development for new hires, existing team members, and other organizational stakeholders. Primary support will be presenting, creating, and implementing new hire training, job enrichment training and targeted refresher training. Duties may include, but are not limited to, instructor-led training in a one-on-one or group setting, facilitating on-the-job training, coaching, mentoring, and technical training, as well as all required and targeted training initiatives in a classroom and/or virtual setting.
The Learning Consultant will work closely with the entire leadership team to identify areas for improvement. Examples include; identifying training needs, optimizing Knowledge Management, enhancing processes, optimizing feedback loops, and developing curriculum. The Learning Consultant will have the authority to make independent decisions on what goes into training courses and curriculum.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, COMPETENCIES, AND/OR RELATED EXPERIENCE
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Related Experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent insurance related experience preferred.
Minimum three (3) years of relevant industry experience based on departmental placement (see below).
Claims: Disability claim or insurance industry experience; Short‑Term Disability (STD) or Long‑Term Disability (LTD) experience preferred.
Minimum three (3) years running trainings sessions and developing learning programs preferred.
Proven ability to manage different learning styles and interact with a diverse population.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with various forms of communication.
Excellent presentation skills.
Understands different learning styles (e.g. how to provide needed information to individuals in a manner in which the content can be clearly understood by the individual and appropriate to job level and training needs).
Proven problem solving, decision-making and organizational skills are required.
Ability to maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality required.
Ability to adjust readily to multiple demands, shifting priorities, and rapid change.
Experience with a learning management system preferred.
Strong technological acumen, ability to learn and utilize multiple Knowledge Management and Learning Management systems.
Proficient in the use of MS Office Programs (Word, Excel and Outlook).
Travel may be required; up to 20% to accommodate training needs in other locations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

"Frequent": regularly performed; generally an act that is required on a daily basis
"Continuous": typically performed for the majority of an employee's shift
Sitting for prolonged periods of time, frequently standing, walking distances up to one mile, bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, occasionally lifting 25lbs, extensive typing, picking up and holding small objecting and otherwise using primarily the fingers rather than the entire hand. Employee is required to have visual acuity sufficient to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing notes; viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading. Employee is required to have hearing sufficient to understand verbal instruction and answer telephones. The expected hiring range for this position is $66,660.00 - $96,100.00 annually. This expected hiring range covers only base pay and excludes any other compensation components such as commissions or incentive awards. The successful candidate's starting base pay will be based on several factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Work location may be flexible if approved by the Company.
